SAGA X - Cruise Vessel to Accommodation Vessel Conversion for Bridgemans Services Group
Tschudi Ship Management was awarded technical management of SAGA X in September 2024. The Owners' aim was to provide modern and comfortable accommodation services, converting the former cruise vessel into an accommodation vessel. Her first project was entered into "as is," with systems maintained for two years of operation, accompanied by a designated service support vessel.
A phased approach - operate first, convert second
Rather than converting SAGA X before her first deployment, TSM maintained her systems for two years of "as is" operation, with a dedicated support vessel alongside. Conversion works followed only once the next project — in Vancouver — called for it, with the full refurbishment carried out in Singapore over summer 2025.
