Oceanicasub XII & XVIII - Acquisition, Mobilization and Modification Program for Oceanica Netherlands B.V.
As Oceanica continued to expand its offshore support fleet, two additional platform support vessels joined the program through acquisition rather than reactivation. Oceanicasub XII and Oceanicasub XVIII entered the fleet as operational vessels and underwent mobilization, regulatory transition and project-specific modifications ahead of service in Brazil. Tschudi Ship Management supported both projects through crew management, vessel transition activities and operational readiness preparations.
Two vessels, one objective
Oceanicasub XVIII
Formerly Scandi Captain, Oceanicasub XVIII was acquired by Oceanica in early 2024 and underwent a change of name and flag in Norway. The vessel subsequently transited to Vlissingen in the Netherlands to collect a living module before continuing to Brazil. Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro, Oceanica carried out project-specific modifications to meet client requirements, while the vessel remained under TSM crewing and operational support.
Oceanicasub XII
Formerly Enav Agave, Oceanicasub XII was acquired by Oceanica in Mexico and delivered to Brazil under TSM-supported operations. Following importation, the vessel underwent modification together with a change of flag and name. Tschudi Ship Management provided crewing support and assisted the vessel's transition into Oceanica's fleet structure.

Expanding operational capacity
Unlike earlier Oceanica projects that focused on reactivating laid-up assets, Oceanicasub XII and XVIII demonstrate a different approach to fleet growth. Both vessels entered the program as operational assets and were adapted to Oceanica's requirements through targeted modifications, compliance activities and mobilization support, helping strengthen the company's offshore support capabilities in Brazil.
